The downside is I have to pay for multiple licenses of the client application. Im currently using Synologys HyperBackup to backup to Amazon Drive and Synologys C2. Restoration requires that I have a copy of the backup data (I maintain three+ versions) and the client application. The pricing is awesome so I picked up a free trial to test it out. This approach provides me with all the features of a quality backup compression, dedupe, incremental, block-level backup, etc. Synology supports backing up files and system settings to different destinations, such as external USB drives, public clouds, and other. ![]() Reminder: Synchronization is not the same as backup Hyper Backup. However, even when such measure is taken, RAID crash and hard drive failure might still cause data loss. Save bandwidth by uploading once and then share with others. Having a multi-version local copy gives you the advantage of fast recovery in the event of data corruption or accidental file deletion, since the data copy can be retrieved directly from your Synology NAS. My current scenario uses a full-featured backup application on each client system that saves the backup data to my NAS, which is copied to an external drive and the cloud. Supports Backblaze B2, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and more. Is there anything I can do on the ABB side to make backing up the ABB data to B2 more efficient/faster? ![]()
